Margaret C. Beecher, 93, Her Greatest Joy in Life Was Her Family

Photo of Margaret C. Beecher Margaret C. Beecher, 93, (nee Strub) of Lorain passed away on Saturday,
August 28, 2010 at her home from natural causes.

Mrs. Beecher was born in Bucyrus on November 30, 1916, the daughter of the
late John H and Elizabeth M (nee Wiley) Strub. She moved to Lorain in the
early 1940's.

She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lorain, the
church's Altar Guild, and the Martha Circle. She enjoyed being a part of the
music program and sang in the choir.

Her greatest joy in life was her family.
Mrs. Beecher was a homemaker and had worked at the Palace Theater. She also helped in several area homes doing varied domestic chores.

She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Beecher of Lorain, sons George
Beecher of Lorain, Gerald (Ruth) Beecher of Alachua, FL., Thomas (Judith)
Beecher of Allison Park, PA., four grandchildren, three great grandchildren
and a sister Helen Balser of Bradenton, FL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband
Harold S. Beecher in 2001, and brothers John and Thomas Strub.

Memorial Services will be in the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 603
Washington Street, Lorain, on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with
Rev. Jimmy Madsen, co-pastor, officiating.

Interment of Mrs. Beecher's cremated remains will be in the Memorial
Garden of Nativity Lutheran Church in Allison Park, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions
may be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 603 Washington Street
Lorain, OH 44052, in her memory.
