Anthony Burger, 79, Enjoyed Fishing and Hunting
Anthony "Batzy" Burger, 79, of Lorain, died Friday September 10, 2010.He was a 1948 graduate of Clearview High School and a veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Army in 330th Ordnance Depot Company.
Anthony was the former owner of American Auto Wrecking retiring in 1995. He was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain, VFW Post #1662 in Amherst and the Amherst Sportsman Club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Irene Burger (nee Rudnik) and parents Anthony and Josephine Burger (nee Schuhmacher). He is survived by his children Deborah Page of Loveland, OH, Michael Burger of Lorain and Cynthia Aycock of Bartow, FL, sister Sally Persinger (Don) of Lancaster, OH, grandchildren Amanda, Martin, Kristen, Kelly, Erika and Jesse, great grandson Kylan, niece Jenny Brammell (Derek) and great grandniece Maya.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
