Amparo DelValle, 61, Enjoyed Puerto Rican Music Reading and Flowers
Amparo Del Valle, 61 of Lorain, passed away Monday, September 27, 2010 in Avon Oaks Caring Community, Avon, following a ten-month illness.
She was born December 29, 1948 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain in 1959. Amparo graduated from Admiral King High School Lorain in 1968.
Ms. Del Valle began working at City Bank in 1968. After 42 years of acquisitions and subsequent name changes, she retired in April of this year from the South Lorain Branch of J. P. Morgan Chase Bank.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. She enjoyed Puerto Rico, music, reading, flowers, walking, cooking, and caring for her father, spending quality time with her family. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.
She will be dearly missed by her father Jesus Del Valle of Lorain, her brothers Roberto (Brunilda), Gerry, David and Irvin (Rosa) Del Valle all of Lorain, her sisters Lourdes (Richard) Hardy and Elizabeth Del Valle both of Lorain, cousin Lydia Ely, nephews Luke Hardy, Andre and Gabriel Del Valle and Kirk M. Mitchell, Jr. nieces Elizabeth A. and Tiana D. Mitchell and Karina, Alicia, Marisa and Liana Del Valle.
She was preceded in death by her mother Genoveva Del Valle in 1997 and many uncles and aunts.
Her family will receive friends Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio, (440) 277-8164.
Closing prayers will be Friday in the funeral home at 8:45 a.m. followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, South Lorain. Rev., Father William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
