Dorothy T. Majcher, 81, Enjoyed Quilting, Knitting and Sewing

Photo of Dorothy T. Majcher Dorothy T. Majcher (nee Kushinski) age 81, of Lorain, died Sunday at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph.

She was born in Lorain on September 11, 1929 and remained a life-long resident of the city.

Dorothy was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society; most recently she had been attending the Catholic Church of St. Peter.

Mrs. Majcher was a former volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital and Health Center; in her free time she enjoyed quilting, sewing, and knitting.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Holley of Jacksonville, Florida, by her sons Kenneth (Susan) Majcher, Steve, and Mark (Nikki) Majcher all of Lorain, four grandchildren, one great granddaughter, by her brother Anthony Kushinski, Jr. (Bernadine) of Lorain, and by her brother-in-law Harold Boone also of Lorain.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Stephen Majcher, by her second husband Anthony Majcher, by her parents Anthony and Julia (nee Loda) Kushinski, and by her sister MaryAnn Boone.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. A rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. by the members of the St. Stanislaus Altar & Rosary Society. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral chapel with the Reverend Craig Hovanec, Pastor of the Catholic Church of St. Peter presiding.. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
