Irene Dubicza, 92, Enjoyed Baking
Irene Dubicza 92 of Sheffield Village, passed away, Tuesday, October 28, 2010 in New Life Hospice Center of Saint Joseph, Lorain following a lengthy illness.
She was born November 26, 1917 in Elyria. She was a Sheffield Township resident for most of her life. Mrs. Dubicza retired in 1997 from General Industries in Elyria.
Irene was a member of Saint Ladislaus Church, Lorain. She was a very good bowler; she had rolled several 600 series games. She had dogs all of her life and leaves behind her Poodle, Simbo. She was a hard worker and maintained her home until her illness a couple of years ago. She enjoyed baking.
Irene will be missed by her nieces Shirley Price of Lorain, Betty Callahan of Elyria, Sandy Eidam of Kensington and Sue Gilio of Brooksville, Florida, nephew John Brio of Elyria and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Husband John Dubicza in 1974; her parents Steve and Verona (Fur) Biro; sister Mary Dantry; brothers John, Bill, Steve and Andy Brio.
Her family will receive friends Monday from 10 A.M. until her funeral service at 1 P.M. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain (440) 277-8164. The Rev. Father Robert J. Glepko, Pastor of Nativity of BVM Parish, Lorain will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
