Thomas R. Raynak, 71, Air Force Veteran, Enjoyed Spending Time with Family and Working on Computers
He was born October 29, 1939 in Cleveland and had resided in North Ridgeville since 1966. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, Airman 1st Class, Strategic Missile Wing serving as Electronics Technician. Tom had been employed as Customer Engineer for IBM, Cleveland retiring in 1994. Following retirement, IBM asked him to return on a part time basis where he served again until 2007.
He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville and he enjoyed tinkering with computers, reading, watching sporting events and science fiction movies and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Carol (nee Sikora), 2 sons, Christopher (Rebecca) Raynak of Elyria and Rich (Tara) Raynak of Sheffield Village, 3 daughters, Lisa (Bernie) Stumpf and Megan Raynak both of North Ridgeville and Mary (Michael) LaLond of Bonner Springs, KS, 5 grandchildren, Annaliese, Alissagrace, Justin, Brooke and Chloe and 2 sisters, Loretta Knox of Gainesville, FL and Mary Louise Rouge of Conneaut, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen (Hibler) and Joseph T. Raynak and by a brother, Joseph T. Raynak, Jr.
Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge, North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. followed by his funeral mass at Noon Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Fr. Bob Franco, pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will be private.
