Ann A. Falasco-DeAngelis, 92, Avid Cleveland Sports Fan, Enjoyed Bowling and Crocheting for Family

Photo of Ann A. Falasco-DeAngelis Ann A. Falasco-DeAngelis (nee Trnian), 92, of Lorain, died Thursday November 11, 2010 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain after a brief illness.

She was born December 30, 1917 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Ann attended Lorain High School. She worked as a threadroller at Nelson Stud Welding/TRW in Lorain until her retirement in 1973.

Ann was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain, the Slovak Catholic Sokols and the Mary Magdalene Society. She enjoyed bowling and bowled in several leagues up into her 90's. Ann enjoyed golfing, playing bingo, playing cards, crocheting afghans for her family and watching the Game Show Channel. She was an avid Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan.

She is survived by her daughter Lynne Frederick (husband Jan) of Lorain, son Ernie Falasco (wife Carolyn) of Sheffield Village, stepdaughter Connie Killion (husband Pat) of West Virginia, stepson Richard DeAngelis of Indiana; grandchildren Gina Horton of Amherst, Tammy Horton-Opincar of Wellington, Ernie Falasco of Amherst, Carla Falasco-Tubbs of Missouri and Morgan Falasco of Sheffield Village, step granddaughter Carey Killion and great grandchildren Sydnie and Jacob Mullins and Cassandra and Justice Falasco. She was preceded in death by her first husband Ernest Falasco in 1969, 2nd husband Sam DeAngelis in 2000, parents Peter and Katherine Trnian (nee Luzny), brothers William, Joseph, Peter and Frank "Tony" Trnian and sisters Irma Skrovan, Irene Zilko and Mary Kelley.

The family will receive friends Sunday 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:45 a.m. in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial Monday at 11:15 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
