Jessie M. Bucci, 92, Enjoyed Spending Time with Her Grandchildren, Traveling and Cooking
Jessie M. Bucci (nee Parrinello), 92, of Lorain, died Friday November 12, 2010 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain.
She was born September 16, 1918 in Detroit, Michigan and had resided in the Lorain area for over 60 years.
Jessie worked in the deli at Kmart in Lorain retiring in 1983.
She was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain, the St. Peter Seniors, Moose Lodge, Italian-American Veterans Post #1 and the Senior Center, all in Lorain.
Jessie enjoyed gardening, sewing, dancing, traveling, cooking, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Joann Coppage (John) of Prescott, Arizona, Janice Coates (Bob) of Lorain, James Bucci (Kathy) of Lorain, Jack Bucci (Karen) of Xenia, Joe Stuber of Clarksville, companion of 16 years Joseph Przytulski of Lorain, grandchildren James Jr., Anthony and Daniel Bucci, Robby and Jennifer Coates, Tajia Rourk and Daina Bucci, 8 great grandchildren and brothers James Parrinello of St. Clair Shore, Michigan and Sam Parrinello of Clinton Township, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Rose Parrinello (nee Pavia), granddaughter Jill Bucci and sisters Lena Parrinello, Mary Barraco and Jenny Ianazzo.
The family will receive friends Monday 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
