Anna Priestas, 81, Devoted Housewife & Mother

Anna Priestas, 81, of Lorain, fell asleep in death Friday, November 26, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born May 6, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan. Anna has been one of Jehovah's Witnesses since September 25, 1965 and was a member of the Lorain West Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

She was a devoted housewife and mother. She had deep love for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She put the interest of others ahead of her own and made people feel loved and valued.

Anna had a deep love for God's Word the Bible. She enjoyed doing volunteer work as a Bible teacher. Her heart's desire was to share the Bible's message with people in the community to bring them comfort and hope in this troubled world. Anna looked forward to a time when our Creator, Jehovah God, will end all suffering and make this earth a Paradise. Anna found great comfort in knowing that if she should die before that time comes, God will remember her and bring her back to life to live forever in Paradise.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Judith Cook.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Paul Priestas; daughter Robin Hammond of Wellington, Ohio; son Timothy Priestas and daughter-in-law Nayta of Lorain, Ohio; grandchildren Tina Hylton; Kristy Bickmeier; Lorenzo Priestas; Talina Priestas; great grandchildren Robby, Mikey and Kaylie Hylton.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2330 Skyline Drive, Lorain, Ohio. Mr. Willie Walker will officiate.

The Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio is handling the arrangements.
