Drennen E. Beetler, 74, Greatest Joys in Life were His Grandchildren

Photo of Drennen E. Beetler Drennen E. Beetler 74, died Friday, November 26, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family while under the care of New Life Hospice, following a brief illness.

Born in Amherst on May 16th, 1936, the son of the late Darrell and Pearl B (nee Haines) Beetler.

He retired from US Steel as a crane operator after 33 1/2 years of service and was a member of USW 1104.

His greatest joys in life were his grandchildren and working on cars and telling stories.

Drennen is survived by his wife of 55 years Dolores J (nee Mudrich) Beetler, daughters Darla Strader, Debra McKinney and Dorothy Beetler all of Lorain, and sons David (Beverly) Beetler of Amherst and Dale (Andrea) Beetler of Lorain, 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 1 great granddaughter Tammy Schaffer in 2004.

Graveside Services will be Friday, December 3, 2010 at 1:00 at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp. with Rev. Jay Roller pastor of Grace Baptist Church officating.

The Family suggests that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to New Life Hospice, 3700 Kolbe Rd. Lorain, OH 44053.

The Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th St. Lorain is handling the arrangements.
