Theresa E. Kucharek, 88, Active in Many Church Functions
Theresa E. Kucharek (nee Zuffa), 88, of Lone Tree, Colorado and formerly of Sheffield Township, died Thursday December 9, 2010 at Denver Hospice in Aurora, Colorado.She was born November 7, 1922 in Amherst and had resided in the Lorain/Sheffield Township areas most of her life. She had moved to Colorado about 4 years ago to be near her daughter.
Theresa was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain, the Rosary Society of the church and was active in many church functions.
She is survived by her daughter Beverly (Larry) Luchini of Lone Tree, Colorado and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lucien J. Kucharek in 1987 and parents Joseph & Sophie Zuffa (nee Kovalik).
There will be no visitation. The Holy Trinity Rosary Society will pray the rosary Friday at 11:45 a.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain.
A graveside service will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 555 N. Ridge Rd., Lorain on Friday at 12:30 p.m. The Rev. Leonard Bacik, pastor of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Middleburg Heights, will officiate.
