Roger Hobart Sick, 69, Avid Reader, Train Enthusiast, Enjoyed Nascar and Bowling

Born December 16, 1941 in Lakewood, Ohio and he had been a Vermilion resident most of his life.
He was a veteran of the United States Army Reserves.
He graduated from Vermilion High School and worked as a Marine Mechanic for Don Parsons Inc. for over 20 years. He had worked for Fulper's Auto Parts for 15 years and also E & L Transport, Carter Lumber and Ohio Rental. After high school he had a newsstand and candy shop on Main Street in Vermilion from 1975-1980. He had been a volunteer Vermilion Fireman for 47 years. He had been Assistant Chief and was currently the Fire Marshall.
He was a member of United Church of Christ Congregational in Vermilion, AMVETS Post # 22. American Legion Post #397, and Vermilion Fish & Game. He was an avid reader, train enthusiast, enjoyed NASCAR and bowling.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sharon (nee Murphy); 3 daughters, Tracy Connor of Vermilion, Michele (Marc) Priest of Bear, Delaware, and Karen (Don) Neely of Vermilion, 5 grandchildren, Kayla, Krista, Erin, Grace and William and great grandsons, Allan and Carson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hobart and Lois (nee Hiller) Sick.
Services will be announced at a later date by the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio.
