William J. "Bill" Cyran, 72, Enjoyed Hunting, Fishing and Golf

Photo of William J. William J. "Bill" Cyran, 72 of Lorain passed away on Friday, December 24, 2010 at the New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Cyran was born in Lorain on January 22, 1938, the son of the late Frank and Adeline (nee Principe) Cyran.

He graduated from Lorain High School in 1956. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Amherst.

He was the retired Director of Advertising for the Morning Journal. He retired in 2006 following 46 years of service. IN 2001, he was named "Ad Director of The Year" by the the Suburban Newspapers of America.

Mr. Cyran was a member of the Lorain Rotary Club, the Amherst Hunt Club, the Amherst Chamber of Commerce, the Amherst Eagles, served in the Advisory Board for the Salvation Army, a was a former member of the Oberlin Country Club.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf.

Mr. Cyran is survived by his wife of 40 years, Laurene A. (nee Kapanke) Cyran, daughters Michelle (Troy) Holmes of Lorain, Deborah (Reno) Donofrio of South Amherst, son Christopher (Shelly) Cyran of Vermilion, grandchildren Nikki Holmes, Mallory Holmes, Sarah Holmes, Reno Donofrio, Samantha Donofrio, Bill Donofrio, Hunter Cyran, Wyatt Cyran and his sister Barbara (Joe) Mazzoni of Amherst.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife
Madeline (nee Trininski) Cyran in 1960 and an infant daughter Linda Cyran.

A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 11 a.m. in
St. Joseph Parish, 200 St. Joseph Dr., Amherst, Ohio 44001, with Father
Lawrence Martello, pastor, officiating.

The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to New Life
Hospice, C/O Community Health Partners Foundation, 3700 Kolbe Road, Lorain,
OH 44053-9905.
