Arnold R. ''Ralph'' Eanes, 80, Enjoyed Fishing & Watching TV

Photo of Arnold R. ''Ralph'' Eanes Arnold R. "Ralph" Eanes, 80, of Lorain passed away on Saturday evening, January 8, 2011 at the Anchor Lodge Retirement Center in Lorain following a brief illness.

Mr. Eanes was born in Princewick, WV on September 26, 1930, the son of the late Ollie A and Ora I (nee Archer) Eanes. He served in the U.S. Navy during the post WW II era.

He was a retired crane operator at US Steel in Lorain: retiring after 30 years.

He was a member of F & AM Black River Lodge # 786, Scottish Rite-Valley of Cleveland and the American Legion Post # 30.

He enjoyed fishing and watching TV.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary E. (Reis) Eanes of Lorain, a daughter Marsha A Stanko Rosso of Lorain, his sons Arthur E. (Beverly) Stanko of St. Paul, MN., Michael J Stanko of Phoenix, AZ., Arnold E (Babette) Stanko of Perry, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, his sister Linda Faye (Douglas) Meadows of Turtle Creek, SC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Buddy Eanes.

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 11 am until services at 12:45 pm in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio. Black River Masonic Lodge # 786 will hold a memorial service at 12:45 pm. Funeral services will then follow at
1:00 pm.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain with full military services provided jointly by the American Legion Post 30 and the Veterans of Foriegn Wars Post 451.
