Herminia R. ''Minnie'' Berlingeri, 88, Nursing Assistant

She was born December 25, 1922 in Coamo, Puerto Rico. She made Lorain her home in 1966. She worked as a Nursing Assistant for Avon Oaks Caring Community and retired from Lorain Community Hospital in 1981.
Minnie was a member of Templo Emmanuel Assembly of God in Lorain, and currently a member of Freedom House Church in Amherst. She loved to read her Bible. She also enjoyed sewing, embroidering, quilting and traveling to spend time with her family. She had an extensive doll collection.
She will be dearly missed by her sons Angel M. Berlingeri of Florida, Robert (Marie) Berlingeri of Richmond, Virginia, Dominic Berlingeri of Lorain and Walter Berlingeri of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; daughters Hilda M. Walker, Carmen L. (Ernie) Garza, Gloria M. Gonzalez and Lourdes Berlingeri all of Lorain; step son Miguel A. (Carmin) Berlingeri, Jr. of Coamo, Puerto Rico; brother Maximino Rivera Luquis of Caguas; sisters Cristina Rivera Santos of Lorain and Josefina Rivera Luquis of Caguas; 27 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Maximino and Francisca (nee Luquis) Rivera; brothers Candido, Monserrate, Miguel and Ramon Rivera Luquis; son in law Tony Duyo Stevens and most recently, granddaughter Jordan E. Gonzalez in 2008 .
Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 until time of service at 7:00 P.M. at Templo Emmanuel Assembly of God, 4230 Clinton Avenue, Lorain, Ohio. Where her funeral service will be Wednesday At 10 A.M in the church. Her grandson Rev. Paul Anthony Gonzalez, pastor of Freedom House Church, Amherst will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
