Lucy Soto, 61, Enjoyed Her Dogs, Music and Dancing

Photo of Lucy Soto Lucy Soto (nee Moyett) 61 of Lorain passed away in the comfort of her home following a lengthy illness. She was born September 2, 1949 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain in 1964.

Lucy was truck driver employed by the Lorain Ford Assembly Plant, Lorain and Woodford Manufacturing in Elyria. She enjoyed dancing, music, bingo and other games of chance. She also enjoyed the company of her dogs, Manny and Sweetie.

She will be deeply missed by her companion for life of 37 years Alipio Velez of Lorain; son Ivan Soto, Jr. of Lorain; daughters Juanita Soto Lehota, Ann Marie Soto Neely and Crecensia Soto all of Lorain; mother Santa Rosa (nee Dejesus) of Lorain; brothers Julio Hurtas, George and Jose Luis Moyett all of New York and Robert Rosa of Lorain; sisters Angela Carraqullos and Gladys Moyett both of New York, Elsie Rosa of Lorain and Esther Rosa of Florida; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ivan Soto; parents Antonio and Crecensia Moyett; daughter Lucinda Soto Garcia; brothers Ramon Luis, Lojo, Luis and Felix Moyett and Millo Hurtas and a sister Mary Rodriguez.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until time of her funeral service at 7 p.m. at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio, (440) 277-8164.
