Ellen Mae Cornelius, 93, Enjoyed Painting Ceramics, Golf and Bowling

She was born on December 29, 1917 in Avon, Ohio and had been a long-time resident of Amherst.
Mrs. Cornelius was formerly employed as a production assistant for the Lear-Siegler Corporation in Elyria.
She was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Amherst. In her free time she enjoyed painting ceramics, golf and bowling.
Survivors include her son William Edwin Cornelius (Barbara) of Bluffton, South Carolina, daughter-in-law Jean Cornelius of Lorain, grandchildren Lee, Brian, Ronald, Kimberlee, and Anne, and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Clarence Edwin Cornelius in 2000, by her son LeRoy Allen Cornelius, and her parents William and Elizabeth Lieber.
Visitation will be Tuesday January 25th from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend Mark Pemberton, Pastor of St. Peter United Church of Christ will officiate. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
