Virginia M. Stoneking, 90, She Enjoyed Crocheting

She was born May 17, 1920 in Cottageville, West Virginia and had resided in Lorain since 1941. For the past 3 years, she was a resident of Main Street Care Center in Avon Lake and had lived with her daughter Lola in Sheffield Village for 7 years prior.
Virginia worked at Kline's Department Store in Lorain as a Bookkeeper. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Veterans Railway Employees. She enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by her daughter Lola Smith (David Boetticher) of Sheffield Village and grandchildren Mary J. Smith-Danforth (Bill) of Detroit, Michigan, Phillip P. Smith (Tina) of Sheffield Township and Diane Smith of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard W. Stoneking on Sept 17, 1989, son Howard F. Stoneking on June 3, 2002, parents, George and Gertrude Webster (nee Gilpin), brothers Paul, Leo and Milo Webster and infant sister Dorothy Webster.
The family will receive friends Wednesday 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 44805 N. Ridge Rd. Amherst Township.
The family would like to thank the staff at Main Street Care Center for the care and professionalism they've shown their mom and grandma over the last 3 years.
