Audrey Y. Sommers, 81, Enjoyed Cooking

Mrs. Sommers was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 7, 1929, the daughter of the late Arthur and Theresa (nee Dickman) Stearns. She was a graduate of the Riverside High School in Milwaukee.
She was a member of Christian Temple Disciples of Christ in Lorain and the church Ladies Group. She was a homemaker and had worked at both the Milwaukee and Lorain Credit Bureaus.
She enjoyed cooking, watching TV, and most spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Cynthia J (Howard) Reynolds of Wellington, Tammy L (Donald) Dembiec, Lori A (Ben) Maniaci both of Lorain, sons Dennis J (Kathy) Sommers, William M (Evelyn) Sommers both of Lorain, Robert W (Paula) Sommers, III of Westlake, grandchildren Mark Sommers, Patrick Sommers, Jessica Sommers, Tracy Sommers, Michael Sommers, Coco Watson, Christopher Dembiec, Courtney Smith, Hannah Sommers, Jared Sommers, Madison Maniaci and great grandchildren Haylee, Michael, Katlyn, Hunter, Kaleb, and Marissa.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Sommers, Jr in 1993 and a great grandson Jonathan in 2006.
Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain on Friday February 5, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. Graveside services will be Saturday morning, February 5, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 6555 Center Road, Avon, Ohio, with Rev. Jimmy Madsen, officiating.
