Emelie A. Boros, 85, Her Favorite Activity was Spending Time with Her Family

She was born in Lorain on February 1, 1926 and remained a life-long resident of the city.
Mrs. Boros was a 1944 graduate of Lorain High School. From 1970 to 1981 she was employed as a sales associate in the jewelry department at ESCO Distributing; she had previously worked at the Fisher-Fazio Supermarket at the Westgate Shopping Center in Lorain.
Emelie was a parishioner of the Catholic Church of St. Peter and was also a member of Slovenian fraternal lodges K.S.K.J. # 85 and S.N.P.J. # 17. Her favorite activity was spending time with her family.
She is survived by daughters Connie Boros of Tampa, Florida and Kathy (Guy) Richards of Avon Lake, grandson Matthew Richards (Anna), granddaughter Kristin Richards, along with her sister Alice (Stan) Rzaca of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband William J. Boros in 2004.
Friends may call Sunday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday in the funeral chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 a.m. in the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Avenue, with the Reverend Craig Hovanec, Pastor of the parish presiding. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
The family encourages memorial contributions to either the Hospice of the Cleveland Clinic, 9500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44195 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
