Antonio ''Don Tono'' Lopez, 83, Enjoyed Singing & Gardening

He was born March 9, 1927 in Canóvanas, Puerto Rico. He moved from there, to Cleveland in 1977. He then made Lorain his home in 1980. Mr. Lopez worked in construction and remodeling business in Puerto Rico. Don Tono was a member of La Iglesia De Dios, Inc., Lorain. He taught Bible Studies and produced plays based on the Bible. He enjoyed singing, his garden and home.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 34 years Minerva (née Cardona) Lopez of Lorain; sons Josue of Queens, New York, Samuel and David Lopez both of Lakewood, Elias and Isaac Lopez both of Lorain, Rafael Otero of Lorain and Jose Manuel Otero of Orlando, Florida: daughters Esther Lopez Laboy of Brooklyn, New York and Noemi Torres of Lorain; sisters Margarita and Ilda Lopez both of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Encanacion and Carmen Laura Pumarejo-Rivera; brothers Luis and Arturo Lopez and a sister Calyn Lopez.

His family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M. in La Iglesia De Dios, East 28 Street and Elyria Avenue, Lorain. Where his funeral service is Wednesday, at 10 A.M. in the church. Rev. Angel Luis Rivera, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township, Ohio.
