Ana Lydia Camacho Morales, 83, Enjoyed Cooking, Gardening and Helping the Needy

Photo of Ana Lydia Camacho Morales Ana Lydia Camacho Morales (née Aviles) 83 of Lorain passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011 in her home following a lengthy illness.

She was born February 2, 1928 in Lares, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain in 1949.

She worked as a Nurse Aid at Avon Oaks Nursing Home in Avon for 12 years. She also worked at Evergreen Nursery for 15 years.

Ana was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, decorating, socializing. She was always helping and donating to the needy.

She will be deeply missed by her sons Raymond A., Miguel Angel, Jose R. and Albert "Tilo" all of Lorain and Edwin "Babe" Camacho of Naples, Florida; her daughter Ana Mendoza Camacho of Lorain; 3 brothers and 4 sisters in Puerto Rico; 18 grandchildren;16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jose "Pepe" and Elvira (née Guzman Roman) Aviles; daughter Alicia L. Camacho in 1998; grandson SSGT. Valentino Mendoza in 2009.and 2 sisters.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, (440) 277-8164. Where closing prayers will be Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. then Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. on Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Father William A. Thaden, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
