Lillian R. Trifiletti, 92, Accomplished Cook and Baker, Also Enjoyed Knitting and Crocheting

Photo of Lillian R. Trifiletti Lillian R. Trifiletti (nee Sroka), age 92, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday March 9th at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph.

She was born in Lorain on September 4, 1918 and had remained a life-long resident of the city.

Mrs. Trifiletti was a parishioner of the Catholic Church of St. Peter and was formerly employed as a sales associate for both the Smith & Gerhart and O'Neil's Department Stores; she most recently worked in the same capacity at Winkleman's at the Midway Mall.

Lillian was an accomplished cook and baker; additional interests included knitting, and crocheting. She also took great pride in crafting and tailoring Christmas stockings for family and friends during the holiday season

Survivors include her sons S. Philip (Sue) residing in Arlington, Texas, along with Jack J. (Joan) and Richard E. both of Lorain. She also leaves five grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Philip in 1996, by her parents James and Nettie (nee Choromanski) Sroka, by her brother Kenneth, and by her sister Virginia Moon.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend Craig Hovanec, Pastor of the parish will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions to either the Church of St. Peter Capital Campaign Fund or to the New Life Hospice.
