Elmer Dean Martin, 64, Enjoyed Riding Motorcycles, History & Music

Elmer was born August 25, 1946 in Hindman, KY; he had been a Vermilion resident for the past 58 years. He graduated from Vermilion High School in 1965.
Elmer worked for Ford Automotive Plant in Lorain and retired after 42 years of proud service.
He was a member of Son of AMVETS Post #22, and Local UAW #2000. He enjoyed, riding motorcycles, bike trips, history and music.
He is survived by his son Jeff (Debbie) Martin of Vermilion, 2 daughters Leslie Martin of Vermilion and Autumn Martin of Sheffield Lake, sisters, Joanne (Arthur) Sigler of Vermilion, Jane Green of Wakeman, Janet (Ralph) Stevers of Wellington, and Robin Burnett of Wakeman; brother, John (Diane) Martin of Vermilion, 2 grandsons, Bryan Dingess and Cory Rebman; 2 granddaughters, Ammi Buga, and Leslie Stokeley Kokotek and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rhea and Homer Martin, a sister, Linda Sue Galvan, and a nephew, Ryan Joseph Galvan
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 10 am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:30 am at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street Vermilion with the Reverend Lee Stull officiating.
