Henry "Hank" Meza, 65, Air Force Veteran, Loved to Spend Time with Nieces and Nephews

Photo of Henry Henry "Hank" Meza 65 of Lorain, passed away March 23, 2011 in New Life Hospice Center, Lorain following a lengthy illness.

He was born February 17, 1946 in Lorain and remained resident all of his life.

Henry graduated from Admiral King High School in 1964. He served in the Air force from 1966 to 1970. He was stationed in the Philippines.

Mr. Meza retired from the blast furnace of U.S. Steel in 2005. He worked there for 35 years. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Local 1104 Lorain. And the Veterans of Foreign Wars Mullen - Murray Post 451 Lorain. Henry enjoyed working on his Chevy El Caminos, He was a avid The Ohio State Buckeyes and Steelers football fan, and loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews.

He will be dearly missed by his sisters Gloria Fulmer and Linda (Jesse) Cruz both of North Ridgeville; brothers Ray and Joe (Cindy) Meza both of Lorain; several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Enrique and Mary Louise (née Martinez) Meza.

His family will receive friends Sunday from 2 p.m. until time of funeral service at 5 p.m. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, (440) 277-8164. The Disabled American Veterans Louis Paul Proy Chapter 20 Lorain will conduct Military Honors.

The family suggests memorial contributions to New Life Hospice, 5255 North Abbe Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
