John Burger Jr., 70, Ford Retiree
John W. “Jack” Burger, Jr., 70, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, died Thursday March 31, 2011.
He was born July 20, 1941 in Lorain and had resided in Lorain most of his life.
Jack worked at the Lorain Ford Assembly Plant for 31 years before retiring.
He was a member of the Bachelors, enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and sprint car racing.
He is survived by his wife of 15 months Karen Burger, son David J. Burger (Carri) of Pennsylvania, grandchildren Ashley Burger and Kayla Burger, great grandson Jack M. Burger and sister MaryAnn Provenza (Ross) of Avon Lake.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Mary Ann Burger (nee Stumphauzer) in 2009 and parents John W. Burger, Sr and Anne Marie Burger.
The family will receive friends Thursday 6:00 pm until the time of closing prayers at 8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain.
