Mildred A. Gudan, 81, Long-time Parishioner of the Catholic Church of St. Peter
Mildred A. Gudan, (nee Smith), age 81, of Lorain, died Thursday March 31, 2011 at the Anchor Lodge Nursing Home.
Millie was born in Lorain on June 8, 1929 and remained a life-long resident of the city; she was a graduate of Lorain High School and a long-time parishioner of the Catholic Church of St. Peter.
Survivors include nieces Linda Novak of Denver, Colorado, Maureen DeLong (Bruce) of Vermilion, Raedene Linderman (Gilbert) of Wellington, Margaret Carter residing in England, and nephews Gary Novak (Mary) of California, Kenneth Sikorski of Kentucky, and Robert Sikorski of Michigan. She also leaves several great, and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband John in 2009, by her parents Raymond and Bertha (nee Pfeifer)) Smith, by her sister Clarice Sikorski, and by her brother Raymond.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Avenue at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 5th. Reverend Craig Hovanec, Pastor of St. Peter Parish will officiate. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
The family encourages memorial contributions to either the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain, OH 44053 or to the Parkinson Disease Foundation.
