Linda L. Dane, 62, Active Parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church

She was born in Elyria on October 15, 1948 and had been a resident of Amherst for the past sixteen years; she had previously been a long-time resident of Elyria Township.
Linda graduated from Elyria High School as a member of the Class of 1966 and went on to attend Lorain County Community College. She most recently served as an administrative assistant at the Bendix Corporation in Elyria and had previously been employed by Doctors Russell-Berkebile & Associates in Lorain, as well as the Top Value Stamp Catalog Center.
Mrs. Dane was an active parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church and had been a member and former officer of the Elyria Township Fire Department Sirens Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a past member of the Crestwood School P.T.A.
In her free time Linda enjoyed baking cakes, sewing, and working with ceramics. Additional interests included league bowling, fishing, and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years Timothy, by her son Thomas (Sheila) of Avon, by daughters Maureen (Thom) Johnson of Amherst and Dianna Dane (Don Kaminski) of Lorain, along with grandchildren Jordan, Logan, Emily, Dane, Leah, and Lucas, by brothers Larry Dell Knipper of Wellington and Dean Knipper of Amherst, and by her mother-in-law Agnes Brezina of Sheffield Township.
She was preceded in death by he parents Robert and Barbara (nee Cromling) Knipper.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be Tuesday beginning at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m.in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 611 Lake Avenue, Elyria. The Reverend Albert Veigas, Pastor of the parish will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
