Engeline Loy, Mary Mother of God Catholic Church in Lorain Parishioner

Born in Augsburg, Germany, Engeline had been a resident of the United States since the early 1950’s. She was a parishioner of Mary Mother of God Catholic Church in Lorain.

She is survived by her step-son Franz Loy of Prince Rupert, British Columbia, Canada, by step-daughters Heide Nicole of Santa Cruz, California and Anni Neukirchner of Graz, Austria, step-daughter-in-law Lesley Loy of Lorain, grandchildren James Nicola, Caroline Nicola, John Loy, Christopher Stewart Loy, Robert Loy, James Loy, Lesley H. Loy, Bruce Loy, Christopher Loy, and Peter Loy, along with 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Johann in1992, by her step-son Detlef Loy in 1995, by her parents, and one sister.

Visitation will be on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel; a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in Mary Mother of God Catholic Church, 310 West 8th Street. Reverend Daniel O. Divis, Pastor of the parish will officiate. Interment will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.

The family encourages memorial contributions to either the Hospice of the Western Reserve or to the Center Ridge Nursing Home.
