Richard Kimbrough, 81, US Steel Retiree

He was born June 25, 1929 in Batesville, Arkansas and had resided in Lorain most of his life.
Richard worked at US Steel in Lorain as a crane operator in the BOP Shop retiring in 1987 after 40 years.
He was a life member of the IAV Post #1 in Lorain and bowled in the IAV league and several other leagues throughout the city. He played golf in many leagues and enjoyed gardening, bird watching, spending time with his family and watching old westerns on television.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years June (nee Fischer), children Linda (Tom) Moag of Florida, Brenda (Ed) Muskovich of Lorain, Peggy Hibben of Amherst and Cindy (Cliff) Waters of Lorain, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sister Dolly Farmer of Memphis, Tennessee and brother Troy (Grace) Kimbrough of Illinois. He was preceded in death by his first wife Nina June Kimbrough in 1952 and his parents and a sister and brother.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 27, 2011, 2-4, 7-9 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am. The Rev. Chris Robinson, chaplain of New Life Hospice, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
