Eugene Kroneker, 86, US Army Veteran, American Legion Member

He was born in Medina. He had resided in Eaton Township for the past 50 years after moving from Cleveland.
A US Army Veteran, he had served during WW II. He was a long time member of the American Legion Post 12 in Elyria.
Mr. Kroneker was a union representative for the AFL-CIO Local 925 in Cleveland, until retiring in 1979. He previously worked for Freuhauf Trailer Manufacturing in Avon Lake.
An avid outdoorsmen; he enjoyed fishing, hunting and working in the yard and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Eleanor, daughters, Linda (Daniel) Krasienko and Diane (Mark) Edmonds, all of Eaton Township, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two sisters, Dorothy Behlke and Jeanette (Karl) Bechtold both of Elyria.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Caroline Kroneker.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Funeral service will take place 10 AM Thursday in the funeral home. Rev. John Seabold will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, where VFW Post 1079 will conduct military honors.
