Eleanor Losiewicz, 83, Long-time Parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church

Eleanor L. Losiewicz, (nee Stephan), age 83, of Lorain, passed away at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland on Thursday May 5th following an extended illness.

She was born in Lorain on November 18, 1927 and remained a life-long resident of the city.

Eleanor was a long-time parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lorain and was currently attending the Catholic Church of St. Peter.

Her interests included knitting, sewing, and crocheting. She also traveled extensively throughout the continental United States with her late husband collecting rocks and other forms of geophytes.

She is survived by her sons Robert J. Losiewicz of Lorain, and David A. (Reva) Losiewicz of Loveland, Ohio, along with two grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and her brother Ralph Stephan of Lorain.

Mrs. Losiewicz was preceded in death by her husband John in 2001.

Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Funeral services will be Tuesday may 10th beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the4 Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend Craig Hovanec, Pastor of the parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
