Margaret Stephanchick, 96, Zion Lutheran Church Member

She was born January 3, 1915 in Lorain and had been a Lorain resident most of her life. She had also resided with her daughter in Peoria, Arizona for 5 � years.

Margaret worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain in the Laundry Department for 14 years retiring in 1977.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lorain, was active in the church Mother’s Club for many years and was a member of Saxon Club.

Margaret enjoyed crocheting and had made numerous afghans. She enjoyed baking poppy seed and nut rolls and continued until her eyesight failed.

She is survived by her son Ronald (Rosemary) Stephanchick of Lorain, daughter Laurie (Larry) Jackson of Peoria, Arizona, grandchildren Richard (Gail) Stephanchick of Lorain, Gary (Stacy) Stephanchick of Elyria, Scott Stephanchick of Lorain, Douglas Jackson of Lakewood, Jeffery Jackson of Peoria, AZ, Pamela Jackson of Peoria, AZ and Kristen O’Brien of Cape Coral, Florida, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Stephanchick in 1988, parents George and Anna Schuster (nee Folbert), brothers George, William and Donald Schuster and sisters Ann Schuster, Helen Selent and Rose Marski.

The family will receive friends Sunday 4-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain and on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of funeral services at 10:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church, 5100 Ashland Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Gary Georgi, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
