Nancy Heller, 81, Fields United Methodist Church Member

She was born May 4, 1930 in Paris, KY and had resided in North Ridgeville since 1967.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Kentucky and had served as English teacher at North Ridgeville Middle School for some 30 years retiring in 1991. Nancy enjoyed the great outdoors, walking, swimming and bicycle riding as well as reading, writing and attending opera and ballet theater. She was a member of Fields United Methodist Church, North Ridgeville and belonged to their Young at Heart Group. She also represented the church at their annual Lakeside, OH conference.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy (David) Drach of West Ossipee, NH, a son, Arden Z. Heller of North Ridgeville, sisters, Martha Honican of Louisville, KY and Susan (Robert) Gorey of Cincinnati and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arden Z. Heller in 1970, her parents, Kathryne and Ellis Hukill and a brother, Rev. Ellis P. Hukill.

Memorial services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Fields United Methodist Church 34077 Lorain Rd., North Ridgeville where friends will be received beginning at 10 A.M. Rev. Dr. Tom Joyce, pastor will officiate. A luncheon will follow in the church Fellowship Hall.
