Donna Bardar, 75, 1953 Lorain High School Graduate

She was born in Lorain on June 21, 1935 and had been a resident of Wakeman for more than 30 years.

Donna was a graduate of Lorain High School as a member of the Class of 1953. Following her graduation she was employed in the advertising department of the Lorain Journal.

Mrs. Bardar was a former parishioner of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Lorain. In her free time she enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, bird watching. She was also a lover of dogs.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years Donald "Doc", her beloved pet dog and constant companion Vinny, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law John and Pat Bardar of Elyria Township, and sister-in-law Rose Bardar of Amherst. She also leaves two nieces, three nephews, 3 great nephews, and one great niece.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents George and Alice Powers, and by her uncle Andy LaPointe.

Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend Craig Hovanec, Pastor of the parish will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.

The family recommends donations to a charity of the donor's choice.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel.
