Frances Tobias, 88, Active in Hungarian Reformed Church Kitchen

She was born October 12, 1922 in Elyria and had resided in Lorain most of her life.
Penny worked at the Airport Tavern in Lorain and was a baker at Meyer Goldberg and Fligner's Grocery.
She was a member of Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ in Lorain where she was active in the church kitchen with food preparation for various church functions and for the International Festival.
Penny enjoyed making homemade Hungarian noodles and gardening.
She is survived by her children Bela Tobias (Pat), Frank Tobias (Paula) and Daniel Tobias, all of Lorain, Rebecca Tobias of North Ridgeville, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and brothers Louis Sebastian of Columbus and Charles Sebastian of Avon.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank J. Tobias in 1998, parents Alex and Elizabeth Sebastian (nee Gardner), brothers Alex and Andrew Sebastian and sisters Julia Hruska, Irene Toth and Helen Peter.
The family will receive friends Tuesday 4-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel. The Rev. Peter Toth, pastor of Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ in Lorain, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
