Phyllis Loder, 76, Licensed Practical Nurse
Phyllis J. Loder, (nee Kenska), age 76, of Lorain, passed away Monday May 30th, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain.She was born in Lorain on June 14, 1934 and remained a life-long resident of the city.
Phyllis was a graduate of Lorain High School as a member of the Class of 1953. She went on to graduate from the St. Joseph Hospital School of Practical Nursing.
Mrs. Loder was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for the former St. Joseph Hospital of Lorain. She later served in the same capacity on the medical-surgical floors of Amherst Hospital.
She was a parishioner of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain. In her free time she enjoyed playing cards and solving both crossword and word search puzzles.
She is survived by her brother William "Bill" Kenska (Dorothy) of Lorain, sister Mary Ann Fugitt (Donald) also of Lorain, and by nieces Karen Leopold and Kristy Csongedi.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband John, by her son Robert, and by her parents George and Bernice (nee Krutkiewicz) Kenska.
A memorial Mass has been tentatively scheduled for Tuesday June 14th, 2011 in the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3501 Oberlin Avenue in Lorain.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, Lorain.
