William "Cal" Dudukovich, II, 30, United States Marine

Photo of William William "Cal" Dudukovich, II, age 30 of Elyria, and formerly of Lorain and Oberlin, passed away surrounded by his family at the Cleveland Clinic on Saturday June 25th following a brief illness.

He was born in Lorain on December 20, 1980 and had been a resident of Elyria for the past three years. Cal was a graduate of Oberlin High School as a member of the Class of 1999.

He served in the United States Marine Corps at Parris Island, S.C., Camp Lejeune, N.C. and Hawaii.

He attended both the Art Institute of Florida in Fort Lauderdale and Lorain County Community College.

Regarded as kind and loving by all who knew him, Cal enjoyed art, animals, and music.

He is survived by his guardian Kathy Swenski, sister Lisa Dudukovich, and by his father William Dudukovich. He leaves maternal family members: Millie (Joe) Toth, Cindy (Tom) Zimmer, Jennifer (Nate) Hite, Denise and Tana Zimmer, Joey (Tracy) Toth, and Debby(Russ) Brown, as well as paternal family members: Robert (Barb) Dudukovich, Hank (Judi) Dudukovich, Lori and Amanda Swenski, Marcie, Matt, and Brian Chonko, Casey (Lisa) Swenski, Erica, and Taylor Swenski, along with Lisa Swenski-Simonoff (Zack) and numerous aunts,uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother Michele (nee Vignovich) Dudukovich, by maternal grandparents Mike "Cal" and Jean Vignovich, paternal grandparents Nikola and Anna Dudukovich, by special uncle and aunt Charles and Helen Swenski, by his cousin Michael Swenski, and by other aunts and uncles.

Friends may call Thursday from 2:00until time of funeral services at 6:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Cantor David B. Wolinsky will officiate. Cremation will follow. Burial of the cremated remains will take place later at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to assist in defraying the cost of funeral expenses.
