Jacqueline G. ''Jackie'' Kuhar, 61, Enjoyed Crafts and Gardening

Photo of Jacqueline G. ''Jackie'' Kuhar Jacqueline G. "Jackie" Kuhar (nee Lavia), 61, of Sheffield Township, died Sunday June 26, 2011 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a lengthy illness.

She was born November 9, 1949 in Sharpsburg, Pennsylvania and had resided in Sheffield Township since 1997.

Jackie worked at Johnson Controls in Strongsville as a seat assembler for 13 years retiring in 2001.

Jackie bowled in several leagues at Rebman Recreation in Lorain. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 14 years Mark Kuhar, daughter Shannon Lippert of Brunswick, grandchildren Tanya and Aubriana, brother Dean Lavia (Laura) of Humboldt, Tennessee, stepchildren Mark Kuhar stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas, Kristina Knick of Sheffield Township and Rebecca Uhl (Brad) of Amherst, stepgrandchildren Chad, Kamron, Alyssa, Madalyn, Kate, Angie and Jessyca.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Ila Lavia (nee Schutt).

The family will receive friends Wednesday 4-8 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 am. The Rev. Tony DeGracia, deacon of Sacred Heart Chapel in Lorain, will officiate. Cremation will follow.
