Ann M. Circell, 84, Enjoyed dancing with her husband

Photo of Ann M. Circell Ann M. Cirell (nee DeSilvester), 84, of Lorain, died Wednesday July 27, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain.

She was born February 23, 1927 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain area resident.

Ann graduated from Lorain High School in 1945. She worked as an administrative assistant at Thew Shovel in Lorain and later as a switchboard supervisor at Lorain Community Hospital. Along with her husband Rudy, they opened Cirell's Greenhouse in Lorain where they offered an inventory of seasonal flowers.

Ann was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Peter in Lorain. She enjoyed dancing with her husband, cooking, yardwork and loved to talk about the old days. Ann was active with her family and enjoyed spending time with her newly born great grandson. Ann was known for her quick wit and sense of humor.

She is survived by her daughters Linda Hilmer of Maine and LeeAnne (Michael) Failing of Lorain, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sister Ginette DeSilvester of Elyria and Anthony DeSilvester of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her husband Rudolph J. "Rudy" Cirell on December 4, 2009, parents George and Angelina DeSilvester (nee Verrochio), infant brother Antonio DeSilvester and sisters MaryJane Berens, Clara Petro and Josephine Dellisanti.

The family will receive friends Friday 3-7 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave., Lorain. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:00 am in the funeral chapel followed by the mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am at the Catholic Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Eric Orzech, parochial vicar, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
