Teresa Torres, 82, Sacred Heart Chapel Member

She was born September 5, 1928 in Lares, Puerto Rico. She came to Lorain in 1960. Mrs. Torres worked for Green Circle Growers in Olmsted Falls for over 15 years.

Theresa was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, Lorain and was member of Legion of Mary. She enjoyed crocheting, playing guitar and making up songs. She loved to spend time with her "grandbabies" and her dogs.

She will be deeply missed by her sons Wilfredo (Karen) Torres of Lorain and Joseph (Cheryl) Torres of Cleveland; daughters Carmen (Hilario) Rivera of Amherst, Bienvenida Santiago and Frances (Richard) Torres both of Lorain, Isabel (Luis) Quinones of North Olmsted and Nilda (Scott) Rau of Deerfield, Michigan; 33 grandchildren; 69 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Francisco Luciano Torres; her parents Francisco and Josefa (née Alicia) Martinez; sons Juan and Oscar Torres; daughters Minerva and Nereda Torres and brothers Confe, Francisco and Antonio Martinez.

Her family will receive friends will receive friends Sunday 2 to 6 P.M. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain (440) 277-8164. Where closing prayers will be Monday at 8:45 A.M. in the funeral home then Mass of Christian burial in Sacred Heart Chapel 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain at 9:30. Rev. Father Willam A. Thaden, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
