James A. Austin, 75, Truck Driver
James A. Austin, 75, of Lorain died August 9, 2011 unexpectedly at his residence.
Mr. Austin was born in Big Creek, Mississippi on July 2, 1936, the son of the late Allen A and Birdie L. (nee Hamilton) Coggins.
He was a veteram of the U.S. Army.
He was an active member of American Legion Post 30, Moose, and the VFW. Mr. Austin retired from Ford Motor Company in Lorain after working for 30 plus years as a truck driver.
He is survived by daughters Sylvia Mack, Debbie Austin both of Lorain, son James (Lori) Austin Jr., of Clarksville, TN, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a sister Mary Cody of Memphis TN.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister; Joyce Lees, and a brother; Bill Coggins.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday August 23, 2011 at 1:30 pm at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst. Full military burial honors will be provided jointly by the American Legion Post 30 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 451.
