Caroline A. Pavlik, 97, Sales Associate

Caroline A. Pavlik, (nee Regiec), age 97 of Lorain, and formerly of Canton, Ohio, passed away Friday August 12th, 2011 at her residence.

She was born in Byesville, Ohio on August 2, 1914 and attended both Canton Central High School as well as the Canton Business Academy. Caroline relocated to Lorain in 1953 where she was employed as a sales associate with Smith & Gerhart Department Store, the Higbee Company, and Dillards from which she retired in 1981.

Mrs. Pavlik was a parishioner of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain. Her hobbies included solving crossword puzzles. Additional interests included cooking, baking, and traveling.

She is survived by sons Rudy and his wife Patti Pavlik of Sanford, Florida and Michael and his wife RJ Pavlik of Sun Lakes, Arizona, along with five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Rudolph Pavlik on February 18, 2011, parents Joseph and Agnes (nee Waradzen) Regiec, by her brother Michael Regiec, and sisters Josephine Frigley, Blanche Knapp, and Mary Fisher.

Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. The Reverend Robert Glepko, Pastor of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Lorain, will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
