Barry W. Harsa, Sr., 59, Enjoyed Hunting & Fishing
Barry W. Harsa, Sr., 59, of Lorain passed away Friday September, 2, 2011, in Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain following a brief illness.
He was born March 26, 1952 in Cleveland and has lived in Lorain since 1985.
He served in the Navy aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Ranger CVA-16 during the Vietnam War, earning the National Defense Service Metal.
Barry drove trucks for 30 years working for Estes Express Line, Brown Transportation and as an owner operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and socializing with family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by his sons Barry W. Harsa, Jr. of Broadlands, Virginia, Jeremy M. (Nikki) Harsa and Fred Lozano, Jr. both of Lorain; daughters Angela M. (fiancée Michael Leibas) Harsa and Carmen Lozano both of Lorain; his mother and step father Ralph and Pearl (Née Campbell) Taylor of Brookpark; brothers Ronald Harsa of Strongsville and James Harsa of North Olmsted; grandchildren Dominic, Talia, Kaitlynn and Madilynn Harsa and Nicolas and Olivia Lozano; aunt Mamie Goelibowski of North Olmsted and many nieces and nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years Cynthia (née Grego) Harsa January 28 of last year and his father Karel J. Harsa.
His family will receive friends Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain (440) 277-8164. Where his funeral service will be Thursday at 10 A.M. Rev. Gene Brown of Crossroads Community Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, North Olmsted, where military honors will be conducted.
