James Daniel Bogdan, 78, Enjoyed Golf and Bowling
James Daniel Bogdan, 78 of Downingtown, Pennsylvania went to meet the Lord and reunited with his parents after a two year battle with cancer Tuesday, 6th of September 2011.
He was born December 8, 1932 in Throop, PA. He moved to Elyria, OH in 1949, and graduated from Elyria High School in 1951.
James went to work for Picker X-Ray in Cleveland, OH. From there he went into the United States Air Force in 1952 where he worked in the strategic air command until 1956. Most of his career he was employed by Burroughs (Unisys) on RADAR installations in 48 states, along the U.S border and also in Thailand and Japan.
His hobbies were computers, golf and bowling and Happy Hour at the Coppa 82 with his buddies.
James is survived by his brothers, Edward Bogdan of Santa Teresa (El Paso), NM, and Elmer (Dorothy) Bogdan of Lorain, OH; 7 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Mary Bogdan;, brother Michael Bogdan Jr. and nephew Daniel James Bogdan.
He was buried Friday next to his parents in Saint Mary Cemetery in Elyria with full military honors.
