Zaida Luz Ramos, 85, Enjoyed Playing Lottery & Cooking

Photo of Zaida Luz Ramos Zaida Luz Ramos (née Del Campo), 85 of Lorain went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 surrounded by her family at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain.

She was born August 6, 1926 in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. She moved from Camden, New Jersey to Lorain in 1961. She worked previously as a seamstress in a garment factory.

Zaida enjoyed watching TV, playing lottery, cooking, church and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel.

Survived by her husband of 50 years Manuel A Ramos; sons Jose (Tony) Pagan and Gabriel (Michelle) Ramos both of Lorain, Manuel A. Ramos of Utuado, Puerto Rico, Joseph (Juana) Ramos of Brooklyn, Ohio, and Juan (Evelyn) Pagan of Waldorf, Maryland; Daughter Guillermina (Richard) Gonzales of Lorain; 14 Loving Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Leocadio Pagan, parents, Cristobal Del Campo, Guillermina Santiago, Maximino Delgado and Aurelia Ortiz. Sister Dolores Santiago and Brother Juan Santiago, grandson Gabriel Pagan, and stepdaughter, Luz Ramos.

Her family will receive friends Friday, September 9, 2011 from 4 pm - 8 pm at Richard Reidy Funeral Home at 1783 East. 31st Street, South Lorain (440) 277-8164. Friends will also be received Saturday from 8 am until of Mass of resurrection at 9 am at Sacred Heart Chapel 4301 Pearl Ave, Lorain. Rev. Father William A. Thaden will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
