Helen M. Orton, 83, Enjoyed Sports and Camping
Helen M. Orton, 83, ob Berlin Heights, formerly of Lorain passed away on Friday, September 16, 2011 while in the care of the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph.Ms. Orton was born in Lorain on March 12, 1928, the daughter of the late George C. and Marjorie (nee Kenn) Orton.
She was a graduate of Lorain High School, a member of the Class of 1946.
Ms. Orton worked as a secretary at the American Crucible in Lorain, Fruehauf Trailers, and with the Ohio Edison Co.
She enjoyed sports, especially softball and volleyball. She enjoyed camping and was most notably; she loved her dog.
Helen is survived by her longtime friend and caregiver Nancy Falton of Berlin Heights and several cousins.
Graveside Services will be Monday, September 19, 2011 at 11:00 am in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst, Ohio.
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Oasis Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 11, Oberlin, OH 44074-0011.
