Katherine Haller, 90, Active Parishioner of St. Nicholas Byzantine Rite Catholic Church

She was born in Wilpen, Pennsylvania on December 5, 1920 and had been a resident of Lorain since her youth.
Mrs. Haller was a graduate of Lorain High School; she was also a very active parishioner of St. Nicholas Byzantine Rite Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society and volunteered in the kitchen during countless social and fund-raising events.
She is survived by her daughter Karen (Mike) Pavelschak of Lorain, by her son George A. (Cheri) Haller residing in Shelbyville, Kentucky, by grandsons Brian and Sean Haller, and by her sister Julie Bransztet (Paul) of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband George J. Carty Haller in 2009, by her parents George and Mary (nee Mrosko) Barbuscak, by brothers Joseph and Michael Barbuscak, and by sisters Mary Deliman and Ann Tishko.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain where the rosary will be recited at 2:30 p.m. by the members of the Altar & Rosary Society; a Parastas service will follow at 3:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be Saturday beginning with Panachida at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel. The Divine Liturgy will follow at 10:00 a.m.in St. Nicholas Byzantine Rite Catholic Church, 2711 West 40th Street, Lorain. Reverend Nicholas Rachford, Pastor of the parish will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
