Lawrence M. Ganobcsik

Lawrence M. Ganobcsik passed away peacefully on Sunday October 23, 2011 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Dolores (nee Dzambik), daughters Marguerite (Kim) Falk of Lorain, Stephanie Dalton of Medina, Andrea (Richard) Heil of Park City, Utah and Lisa Ganobcsik-Williams (Aled) of Ashby de la Zouch, England, grandsons Matthew Falk and Nicholas Dalton, granddaughters Megan Falk, Victoria Dalton, Sian Ganobcsik-Williams and Eleri Ganobcsik-Williams and sister Albina Rodachy of Lorain.

He was preceded in death by his on Lawrence, parents Lawrence and Julia (nee Kubasak), brothers Joseph Ganobcik and his wife Margaret and Frank Gann and his wife Martha, sisters Sister M. Lawrence of Ss Cyril& Methodius Congregation, Anna Kiska and her husband John, Caroline Zuffa and her husband Frank and Pauline Ragan and her husband John and brother-in-law John Rodachy.

He belonged to Holy Trinity and St. Peter churches and the Slovak Catholic Sokols. During World War II, he served with the US Army Air Corps in the European Theatre in England, France, Belgium and Germany.

The family will receive friends at the Church of St .Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave, Lorain on Saturday from 11:30 am until the time of the mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm. The Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to New Life Hospice, 3700 Kolbe Rd, Lorain, OH. 44053.
