Angela A. Solack, 89, Enjoyed World Travel

Angela A. Solack (nee Mahnic), age 89 of Avon Lake, and formerly of Lorain, passed away Thursday October 27th, at Mercy Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Lorain on August 14, 1922 and had been a resident of Avon Lake for the past 8 years.

Angela was a graduate of Lorain High School and went on to complete two years of study at the Burroughs School of Business. She was employed first as a teller, and later in the Mortgage Loan Department at Central Bank in Lorain; she retired n 1984 following a career that spanned 32 years with the financial institution.

Ms. Solack enjoyed world travel and especially liked taking trips to Europe. She was a long-time volunteer at the Avon Lake Public Library and was also a member of Chapter #3318 of A.A.R.P. where she functioned as its travel coordinator.

In addition, she also served as the social coordinator for Central Bank Retirees luncheons and gatherings.

Survivors include her daughter Gayle J. Carson residing in San Pedro, California, grandsons David L. Carson of Sagamore Hills and Mark. B. Carson of Santa Clara, California, along with great grandchildren Eva and James.

Angela was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Josephine (nee Popek) Mahnic.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, Lorain.
